Message | Mr Speaker, Gladiators fighting to the death is tradition, that doesn't make it right. So is sacrificing children to pagan gods. Let's legalise that! This is basically legalising murder. Leon Thompson |

Message | Mr Speaker, Perhaps we should bring back stoning for prostitutes that walk our street at night? Excuse the laughter from the bench, but we got a good chuckle out of this bill. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I do not expect common plebs to understand the honor of our noble traditions. We nobles have a responsibility to demonstrate as such, but regulating a time and honored tradition of settling disputes between consenting nobles by an honorable duel in the name of our emperor. I yield. |

Message | Mr Speaker, Pleb is a slanderous term, and not fit to be used here in parliamentary debate. Please refrain from using such words, or you will face the wrath of Parliament and will be most certainly censured. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, If someone were to duel the leader of the Imperial Conservative Union and kill them in the process, would they stop referring to the members of this House as 'plebs' and would they stop proposing such ridiculous legislation? I yield Clare A. Palley HSP Whip |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Who ever said duels had to be to the death. Do the words consenting or regulated mean nothing to you. Why the national sport is fencing, is that not a duel between swordsmen, between gentlemen? I say the commoners have forgotten what this country stood for, what their ancestors fought for, what this empire was founded on. This is Luthori! Mother of monarchs, empires, and nobility. The ruler of the seas, the discover of Dovani, the Lion of Artania! My have our people truly grown so soft that they cannot even look themselves in the mirror, see the weaklings they have become, and fight to take back this country from the ruins into which it has fallen? You may mock me as much as you like, but history has shown time and time again that it is when this empire embraces its true character that she "roars," and Terra bows down to her. I yield. |

Message | Mr Speaker, The IA referring to the members of the house as plebs is just terrible. Were removing our support for this at once. This party seems nothing short of hateful. Let us not forget were ment to serve our Duchy not laugh at the legislation brought before us. David Smith CUP Leader |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
Random quote: "The answer to global warming is in the abolition of private property and production for human need. A socialist world would place an enormous priority on alternative energy sources. This is what ecologically-minded socialists have been exploring for quite some time now." - Louis Proyect |
