Bill: Budget proposal of May 3992

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3993

Description[?]:

The Liberal Alliance propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Holy Luthori Empire.

Our Budget Reforms:

- Increased Military Spending, to lay the possibilities to once again rule the waves. Especially focus on the Imperial Navy, Imperial Air Force and the Secret Service.

- Decreased Infrastructure Spending. We've had two decades now with massive infrastructure projects. New Rails and better roads in every County. New power networks, two new Nuclear Plants and better harbours and ports. There is now no need for new projects so these funds will be for maintaining our Super Modern Infrastructure.

- Decreased Social Services funds. The Ministry of Finance has decided to scrap some Health campaigns against smoking and fat food. Many Hospitals is already running on a commercial basis, so the money is not needed.

- Decreased Culture funds. The funds for Education are intact, but the Ministry of Finance has decided to cut some cultural funds and the plan is that some museums and art projects should live on a commercial basis.

- Decreased Science and Technology funds. Some of the research money has been transferred to the Ministry of Defence to continue weapons research and development of modern and precise weapons, much to try to protect civilian casualties.

- Decreased agricultural support. The state is not subsidising farms, so the money is not needed.

- Decreased industry support. The state is not subsidising the industry, so the money is not needed.

MessageMr Speaker,

If this passes, we will resign from the cabinet and support a socialist minority. I would much rather we have good roads than big guns.

MessageMr Speaker,

Let's look at this proposal.

-Increasing military by 10 fold.
-Reducing Infrastructure by almost 100 fold.
-A 4Bn decrease in Education
-A more than 50% decrease in Science
-Massive decreases in food, the environment and tourism.

'How is this all possible while still increasing the budget?' you may ask

I'll tell you why -The Moderates are crazy and want to see the world decend into a world war with our country to be the first to fail. The Moderates are not a party of the common man their the party of big business and ammunition factories.

I can't believe the LA, NP and ICU would support this. These parties are going to wreck all that's good in this country in the name of safety.

Don't bring this country into anarchy. Vote no!

We will not be ashamed for wanting to keep this country safe and put our security first! We are not crazy. We believe in democracy unlike your party. We will keep our yes vote if we so may be the only one to do so.

MessageMr Speaker,

Halfing our healthcare budget is crazy. Do you know how much this will ruin our healthcare? Imagine you earned 1k a month, if that was halfed you'd struggle and your living standards would drip massively. The PUM will never support military over education or healthcare. It's deeply concerning that the coalition would support this then take away support only after we show clearly how ridiculous it is. We may not agree with the 3Right but atleast they have some god damn common sence! They are the centre party and the Moderates are the mad military obsessed righties who are a risk to everything good in Luthori.

"Goodness, moderates shut your mouths. You aren't the party of the common man, or the rich man that pulled himself up by the boot straps, or of the Hosian Church, you have proposed bills that are contrary to the good book, to economic liberalism, to the working man, such as trying to ban unions, this both decreases economic freedoms and is pretty much a crime against the working man. Trying to prohibit gays from serving in the armed forces, now that's just a crime against all logic, you talk about democracy yet support a powerful autocracy that, as Vladimir has said, could outlaw every party and take full control of Luthori. As well let us not forget that they have ether forgot or miss understood when God said 'turn the check' he meant to not strike back or to strike first. Let's not forget their crimes against logic, even when they support proposals in a socialist party's bill, they'll oppose it cause why not. You good lad aren't Hosian, capitalist, or democratic, get out of this house!"

MessageMr Speaker

I and the rest of the moderate here were elected by the people of this great nation! I am sad to see how that means nothing to you! We are a party for those who wish to work and not just live off the state. Those who you call the disadvantaged people... The differently motivated. What we used to call lazy people! Dishonest people! Those are not who we represent. We represent those who want to do right by themselves!

MessageMr Speaker,

Removing money from education is going to create an unemployment problem! You're not the party of the working people! Your the party of military business! Removing money from education and health is not to help people who want to do right by theirselves unless they are rich and can afford private education and healthcare. You're the party against the poor and for the upper class who are born into wealth! Capitalism is about opportunity not what family your born into!
