Bill: Stanley-Fraizer Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: SLP-Libertarian Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4014

Description[?]:

In order to promote economic growth, we are willing to allow limited logging activities. We already require replenishment in logging, so deforestation should not be an issue. We feel that this is a nice compromise that gives us the best of both philosophies.

We are also including a provision to regulate pesticides. We need to make sure that our environment is not being harmed by pesticides. This allows us to ensure that the chemicals used in farming are safe.

MessageFirst, this act is only limited operations of forestry. Second, we have a policy of replenishment that would force these operations to replenish more than they cut down. The SLP is for the environment, but when we can create jobs with a minimal impact on deforestation, since the trees have to be replenished, we're going to take it.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
