Description[?]:
A group of Republican parliamentarians have the following question for Minister Wilhelm Mayen (OA), what is the stance of the current administration regarding the arms export and why do we currently only allow the export of Telamonese arms to close allies? Telamon house one of the most advanced arms industries of Terra, and therefore is highly dependent on an international trade. TAAB Group for an example develops and produce the Gyrfalcon multi-role fighter jet, TAAB 350 an awacs aircraft, Keldar VTOL UAV, Pansarskott 100, RBS 66, TAMAS, RBS 16, Eireye Radar System, TAHR, Girafour Radar System, Sevescia-class submarine, the Lirona-class submarine, the Niklasson-class corvette and the Perlezia-class corvette. TAE Land Systems AB develops and produces the Bandvagn 206, Bandvagn 208, BvS 20, Pansarbandvagn 304, Combat Vehicle 9240 series, Stridsfordon 91 series, Pansarterrängbil 480 and the Stridsvagn 144 Main Battle Tank. Tofors AB develops and produces the small arms, artillery systems and ammunitions. SDAB develops and produces the Telapolis-class Corvette, Hruban-class Corvette, the Grimati-class Mine Countermeasure Vessel and the Warren-class Amphibious Assault Ship. http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/TAAB_Group http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/TAE_Land_Systems_AB http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Tofors_AB http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/SDAB http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_equipment_of_the_Armed_Forces_of_Telamon http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_companies_of_Telamon |

Message | "Mr. Speaker, I am fully willing to accept that Telamon has a credibly large and efficient weapons manufacturing capability. However, it is the policy of this government to keep Telamon safe from worldwide conflict. If we are not careful, we could find that the very weapons we built could be used against us. It is a measure of national security not to sell these arms directly to dangerous nations. Additionally, our allies could see it as a direct offense if we were to begin selling to their rivals." - Wilhelm Mayen Minister for Trade and Industry |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We would like to see a compromise such as the "government must approve all arms sales on a case by case basis", with a new agency the 'Inspectorate of Strategic Products' to supervise the arms export. The government would still have the final word to approve or not approve the arms sale. This would eliminate the sales of arms to dangerous nations or rivals of allies. - Nils Dackensson (R) Member of Parliament |

Message | "Mr. Speaker, Such a law would allow for corporate cronyism. This would create a situation where no doubt in order to have an arms sale the government would function as a gate-keeper, with big corporations paying their way to getting arms sales. We in OA will not play the game of crony politics. This is precisely why under our leadership the department in question has been so limited in power." - Ohla Ful Statsminister of Telamon |
Date | 12:34:55, April 18, 2016 CET | From | Republikanerna (R) | To | Debating the Trade Question to Minister Wilhelm Mayen and the Department of Trade and Industry |
Message | Mr Speaker, How has the current administration thought about the financing of the Telamonese Arms Industry? There's no subsidies and the industry aren't allowed to export to countries. It is an irresponsible policy of the Ful administration and how does that work with the party's current line of advocating capitalism? - Nils Dackensson (R) Member of Parliament |
