MessageCHIEF JUSTICE:

The issue of whether the Centennial Renaming Act of 4029 is improper as it relates to long established tradition was decided in the negative by tthe Ministerial Court of Appeals of the Province of Chann. It is not appealed by Appellant, Andara Aloreen, against the Imperial High Chancellor, Puthryith Chann, the initial proponent of the Act.

Appellant, you may proceed.

MessageAPPELLANT:

Your honor, and may it please the court.

Kafuristan is an ancient nation, founded in 2116, nearly 2000 years ago. Yet, the Chann Government seeks to legitimize the Act based on only 100 years of history under Chann rule. We believe this to be improper when weighed against the interests in maintaining precedent, tradition, and our culture.

MessageAPPELLEE:

Your honor

Nations change over time. Customs change. Norms change. Traditions change.

That is what we have here. Since 3930, a government that has leaned heavily in favor of open immigration, and has seen an influx of immigrants, the nation of Kafuristan has changed dramatically. We are now a melting pot. We proposed the Centennial Renaming ACt in response to this - as Kafuristan represents regimes of the past bent on the suppression of rights and equality for LGBT and Women.

This is a new dawn for this nation, and we ask for a new name to represent that.
