| Keeping in spirit the traditional flag of Likatonia, Axis Mundi SLP hereby proposes that we adopt a flag that while still in the spirit of being tradition, it reflects our modern identity. For this reason, we believe that the removal of single star is required so it can be replaced with five stars representing each of the prefectures. |

| Message | As the party who originally proposed the flag that is currently flying across our nation, we would like to point out that this flag is a variation on an ancient Icelandic flag. The choice is based on the fact that Likatonia was never always Likatonia. It used to be Likaton before the legislature decided to change it over 100 years ago. The name is actually Scandanavian in nature, so the flag is reflective of that. |

| Message | OOC: Yes, I was aware of the name change. However, we seem to have a consensus that Likatonia has a sort of Viking/Slavic ethnic basis... and Icelandic flags are less than totally relevent. Also - I am wary of anything too easily identifiable with Real World nations... this is not a 'real world' game, and I think we should bear that in mind. Likatonia is a somewhat oppressive and militaristic place at the moment... so, if I want to introduce new flags, they should somewhat be representative. Not that I expect everyone to clamour for the flags I design... (although that'd be nice)... but at least we should have something more appropriate... and, maybe, a little more unique. |
