MessageMadam Speaker,

We would like to state that, while we would support a majority of the articles in this bill, we disagree with Article 1, we feel that Article 4 is too drastic and that there should be a more moderate compromise of perhaps 40-45% at least for now, and would like to point out that Article 6 is already up for a vote, and is redundant. If we were to support this bill, we would like to see a counterbill proposed to address these changes. Until our Nationalist colleagues agree to this, we will unfortunately have to oppose this proposal, despite the good intentions and agreeable portions of this bill.

MessageMadam Speaker,

We support most of these proposals, but are voting against this bill because of the removal of all regulations on advertisers. We cannot vote to give the advertisers that much power. Too many of them are unscrupulous enough already.
