Bill: Shorter Terms Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alorian Communist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2057
Description[?]:
At the moment, as there is not enough legislation, the game has reached a sort of stalemate. Most things, everyone agrees on and then the couple that people have differences with form the battlegrounds between elections. However, I dont think there is enough potential legislation to justify the current 4 year term. This makes the game slightly boring, as there are only a couple of bills proposed per term. If we had shorter terms, we could still propose the same bills, just there would be more opportunity to do so. |
Proposals
Article 1

Message | RCL- I think you're justification is a sound one. If I'm to be perfectly honest, I can't see anything that I'm going to change at the moment... 4 years is probably too long with that in mind... |

Message | Is three years satisfactory? I'm hoping that with more government changeovers, different parties will have a chance to implement new policies which should spice things up a bit. Of course, when the economic system gets going and there are more legislation options we can change it back if neccessary. |
