Bill: New Beluzia Progressive Cabinet Reshuffle II

Details

Submitted by[?]: Unsubmissive Beluzian Workers Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 4059

Description[?]:

Seeing that Stanton House is incompetent to run our Finance Ministry, the BPDP has decided to reshuffle the cabinet and put ourselves into the position of Finance, being the third largest party in the coalition. We hope that other parties can agree with this cabinet.

MessageThe New Liberal Party are glad to see Finance Minister Scott evicted unceremoniously from her position, given her shambolic handling of the department, but note this fumbling reshuffle, just a few months after the first, proposed by a junior coalition partner, is a sign of this government's incompetence and instability - a worry to business and markets up and down the country.

We note also how Stanton House, Sen. Scott's Party, has voiced its rejection of the proposal. Given that this bill could reach its required 376 votes without the help of the Stanton House senators, I ask of Prime Minister Campbell, how will you ensure government unity going forward?

Leader of the New Liberal Party

MessageThis cabinet reshuffle will be ignored. We were doing this just to replace Minister Scott, but now we have realised that she was sacked. Please vote No.

MessageI thank the leader of the New Liberal Party for her question. Madam Speaker, we reject the notion that our economy is in trouble: it is our most basic obligation to provide for the people of Beluzia and ensure social security for all citizens.

This is what we have done and will continue to do. We maintain a budget surplus whilst spending where we can, and work hard to ensure that everyone shall have a roof over their head, food to eat and a job to provide.

Beluzia has faced troubling times in the past century, although it's this government's pride to have governed during perhaps the most peaceful and stable period in Beluzia's history. With our intention of joining the Artanian Union, we look forward to a new golden age for Beluzia, and work to ensure a better future as opposed to working to prevent one disaster after another.

Finley Campbell
Prime Minister of Beluzia
