MessageMadam Speaker--

Because no one else wanted to join us in making the tough choices to raise the taxes of those who actually benefit from government services, we have no choice but to cut government expenditures to cover our nearly 25bb HLR shortfall. We have attempted to spread this around as fairly as possible, targeting administrations that have big budgets but still prioritizing important sectors of our government in the wake of the tragic murder of President Clark. We must approve this new budget so we do not go further in the red. Failure to pass this budget would have to result in higher taxes when Hutorians want a more efficient government.

Message"Mdm. Speaker,

This is hardly what our party considers a "cut". We will vote for it anyway, hoping that this is a signal of more cuts down the line. It is time for our government to live within its means."

MessageMadam Speaker,

The Labour Party is the only true socialist party on Hutori at current. We are the only party that will protect public services, and stand up for the most vulnerable in our society. We should be raising taxes for the highest earners and increasing public spending. The Labour Party wants investment into social services by 10 billion alone. A deficit is okay so long as we are supporting the poor and tackling the crimes and selfishnesses of the rich.

MessageMadam Speaker--

First of all, I was not made aware that being "the only true socialist party in Hutori" was worthy of much praise.

However, this is nothing more than cute rhetoric from a silly overly-leftist party. We cannot respect a blabbermouth spokesperson who couldn't even get enough votes for a seat in this serious body, where real financial decisions matter *MCP MPs laugh and jeer*

Please, vote no, and Hutorian voters will remember who wanted to plunder their government.
