Voting deadline: August 4072

We feel that the ability to have a decent income should be guaranteed. Raising the minimum wage gives more income to families, which allows them to invest more into the economy by buying more things and consuming more products.

MessageMadam Speaker,

Following the renewed rise of a number of left-wing, socialist parties in Beluzia, I have thought long and hard about why I support a system so taken for granted by many, a system that many say we would be better off without. The system called Capitalism. As a economically liberal party, the NLP seeks to protect the Free Market, but we are also a progressive party, and we seek also to ensure that capitalism works for everyone.

We are in no economically troubling time, by the hard work of the Daybreak Coalition, investment is up, consumption is up, GDP is up! Now is the time, Madam Speaker, to reap the rewards. Now is the time, to ensure our economy not only grows, but that everyone in our nation grows with it. Now is the time to take the big decisions.

So let us not pussy-foot around the issue of wage growth, let us tackle it head on and ensure that the hard work of the Daybreak Coalition - in trimming spending and slicing taxes - means money in the pockets of Beluzians everywhere! Madam Speaker, we will back this proposal; a living wage for all!

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.

Random quote: "I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical." - Thomas Jefferson
