Message | Madam Speaker, Following the renewed rise of a number of left-wing, socialist parties in Beluzia, I have thought long and hard about why I support a system so taken for granted by many, a system that many say we would be better off without. The system called Capitalism. As a economically liberal party, the NLP seeks to protect the Free Market, but we are also a progressive party, and we seek also to ensure that capitalism works for everyone. We are in no economically troubling time, by the hard work of the Daybreak Coalition, investment is up, consumption is up, GDP is up! Now is the time, Madam Speaker, to reap the rewards. Now is the time, to ensure our economy not only grows, but that everyone in our nation grows with it. Now is the time to take the big decisions. So let us not pussy-foot around the issue of wage growth, let us tackle it head on and ensure that the hard work of the Daybreak Coalition - in trimming spending and slicing taxes - means money in the pockets of Beluzians everywhere! Madam Speaker, we will back this proposal; a living wage for all! Sen. John Bills Finance Spokesperson, New Liberal Party |
