From | The Green Reform Party of Kalistan | To | Debating the National Assembly Salary Increase | Message | The members of Parliament, who work high stress, important jobs at the benefit of all people of Kalistan, should be entitled to a high salary. These employees are performing a prestigious public service, and their positions are among the most important in Kalistan. |

From | Labour Party | To | Debating the National Assembly Salary Increase | Message | We agree with the KUP, we want Members of the Assembly (OOC: Not Parliament, check the Sticky threads for some more information) to be performing their job because they are passionate about representing people not because they feel they can make a hefty profit out of it. |

From | The Green Reform Party of Kalistan | To | Debating the National Assembly Salary Increase | Message | Members of Parliament should be provided with high paying jobs for the amount of education and experience required to achieve a spot in Parliament. The salary increase for parliament proposed would make it a position of highly regarded skill, as it is. The Green Reform party does not support huge salary increase, but believe that members of parliament are highly skilled and should be paid accordingly. |

From | Labour Party | To | Debating the National Assembly Salary Increase | Message | All jobs require a certain degree of education and experience, who are we to say that we are any more qualified than the physician, the author or the painter or the salesman, the barber or the librarian? It might be the case that the satisfaction of representing your party members and countrymen isn't enough for the Greens but here in the Labour Party it is. We had this discussion with another party not too long ago and our position is unchanged, if the bill passes we will donate our increase to charity.
OOC: It is the Assembly not the Parliament, as I said please consult the Sticky Threads to ensure you have a good understanding of Kalistan's government's structure. |

From | Kalistan Unionst Party (KUP) | To | Debating the National Assembly Salary Increase | Message | If this bill were to go through, all of our assembly members would donate the increase to local charities as a mark of respect to the Kalistani citizens. To suggest that my members and members of other parties are motivated by money is insulting. |

From | The Green Reform Party of Kalistan | To | Debating the National Assembly Salary Increase | Message | In no way was the bill meant to be insulting to any parties. Although the Labour Party and KUP make valid points, our position on the subject remains the same. Whether the bill passes or not, the members of the National Assembly completely control their income and should be encouraged to spend it in anyway they see fit (ie. Donating to charity). We will submit the bill for voting. |
Date | 23:33:59, August 20, 2016 CET |
From | Socialist Party of Kalistan (SPoK) | To | Debating the National Assembly Salary Increase | Message | We oppose. We are public servants. If anything, I think we should be paid less. I guarantee, there is not a Socialist Deputy in this room who works harder than a garbage man or a brick layer. The SP would oppose a pay increase. |
