Message | No, this bill would threaten our national security and would leave us helpless in certain situations. My party will not support this, we believe in compassion and humanity but we also realize that we need to be able to defend ourselves and in some extreme circumstances unfortunately retaliate. Neil Buchanan Shadow Home Secretary CMPR |

Message | And what part of this bill would leave us helpless? Chemical warfare is not justified in any case and if we are attacked by a chemical attack this bill allows us to retalliate regardless. Then the land mines they are dangerous for all party's involved and cause massive suffering even years after a war occured OOC:,Look at Yugoslavia. And the police should in NO way be helped by the military the military already responds to extreme cases and doesnt need to help the police which have theyre own specialised units. I think you should support this bill its balanced and both the banning of landmines and the limiting of the use of chemical warfare will boost our international prestige. Chairman Tyrell Finch, DF |

Message | Landmines are a gruesome object of war, best left in the forgotten dump of collective history. They injure a large amount of non-combatants, even years or even decades after the conflict has ended. We also agree wholeheartedly on the banning of chemical and biological weaponry. Never shall we need to use such weapons, and to renounce them now is a sign of strength, rather than weakness. We applaud our college in the Democratic Front for proposing this forward-thinking legislation, and vote FOR this bill. Jackson Ruhr |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
