MessageThis will give a surplus of 1.017.490.254 RUT

If this is to much i may consider changing it.

I know its a large surplus but in our opinion we need such a large surplus for just 2 years and we will handle the inflation after those 2 years.
After that triall period of 2 years we will begin spending more.

MessageI would like to reduce the trial period to one year as I am very wary of inflation, I propose we pass this and the income tax bill, try it for one year and then increase taxation so we still have a surplus but a smaller one.

MessageThe only problems we see in this proposal are the dramatic cuts to both the Defense and the Environment and Tourism ministries. Could they be able to function with such a reduced spending, specially the Environment and Tourism ministry? How about our national security?

I would need the advice of both ministers about how such cuts could affect their departments before I can agree to such a dramatic reduction. If we are reassured that the cuts will not impact their operations substantially, then I am inclined to support this bill. At the moment, though, I am skeptical of this bill.

MessageBoth the Defence and Tourism departments have been running on twice the amount of funding they needed for the past 10 years.
This has cost us dearly but both departments have been running on such a surplus that they now have some reserves.

MessageOOC: Also, how do we decide if they run a surplus or deficit? Is there like a set in stone mechanic, or do we just RP it?

IC: With the reassurances from the Internal Affair's minister, I will now support this budget. I hope the surplus accumulated from past years will create a sort of "cushion", if this budget ultimately proves inadequate.

Leader of the LDP.

MessageThe minsitry for Enviroment and Tourism is obviously disappointed in this reduction but we do have a slight surplus, we will see some aspects go downhill but as it is only for 1 year we will be ale to make do.

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with.
