MessageSome of this resolutions are the epitome of what could be called an act of symbolic and political violence, my friends. Please, let's not descend to the basement of History.

Article 1: We have rehabilitation programs everywhere in our legislation. The criminals of this country go to jail to pay for their crimes and get back to society as reformed citizens. The right to vote is one of the civil rights that reassure their places as rehabilited members of said society. The proposal lacks meaning. If our friends of the National Party care enough to explain the reasoning behind this ideia, we would love to hear it.

Article 2: Death penalty doesn't solve violence problems anywhere in the world, and never will. We have experience debating this matter in our activism everywhere on Terra, and I have yet to see someone convince me of the efficiency of this sad act. On the contrary, we have dealt with many families that lost their loved ones on wrongful trials involving capital penalty. The State will never be able to ease their pain, and the blood of those that perished are on the hands of their governments forever.

Article 3: Invading homes in a frantic and insane search, creating a state of constant paranoia and a general feel of persecution? That's the recipe for social convolution, my friend. Violence would increase, and we would lose the trust of most of our citizens. I've seen fascists regimes arise with less than that...

Article 4: That's the one proposal that's not a pure attack to our humanitarian senses, and can actually be debated in a more civilized manner. The use of standard firearms by the police force still proves to be necessary in poor countries, ones that suffer with constant violence and a general fear of civil war. This is not our case. And that's exactly what this proposal could cause, in our minds. I will concede that this would increase the security of our law enforcers. Maybe in the future we will debate this matter in a more serious manner. But at this time, and especially considering your other proposals, the only sentiment that comes to our party members if of fear. This article by itself is debatable. This article, combined with the other, is a declaration of a political stance. An we know exactly what stance...

Article 5: This have a name, friends: slavery. We are proud members of the international Anti Slavery Organisation. It's a hard no, sorry.

MessageWe second the words of our friends the PCP and we condemn the BNP for their far-right positions. OOC: I wonder if the BNP is modelled upon the British National Party?
