MessageI ask the National Assembly to consider our proposal carefully. As a liberal I don't want to fund conservative campaigns as I'm sure conservatives would not like to fund ours.

Instead of taxpayer's money going to campaigns they do not support we should stop funding unpopular campaigns and let the people decide.

Of course regulations and restrictions may need to be put in place in the future if people seek to abuse this new freedom.

MessageLet the people decide? They already do- that's what voting is for!

Inevitably, the wealthy will fund parties who give them tax cuts and the poor will be unable to fund parties to protect their interests. Under the current legislation there is no opportunity for bribery and there is a level playing field. I might loathe the Kalistan Radical Front but I would much rather the government gave us and them the same money rather than us both running to donors for money.

MessageOOC: Do you mind me asking why this bill has 'June 4013' at the end. It seems like you're about 125 years late ;)

MessageAs we already stated legislation can be put in place to restrict private funding. You just stated you do not support the KRF yet your saying you'd rather fund them than think of the possibility of change!

MessageIf we dont fund them, somebody else will! At least if the state is in control, we can be certain of what happens to that money, where it comes from and how much of it there is.

MessageNo wonder the Labour Party is failing in elections (to an all time low may I add). Their resilience to change has lead to a rise of radical parties such as the RLF and the KRF who endanger the core principles of Kalistan.

MessageI have just been informed by a woman who received 0.06% of the vote in the last election and whose party returned no seats that my party (who won the Presidency on the first ballot) is failing! Further to that, you accuse the Revolutionary Liberation Front, who have served admirably in the government, of being radical yet you refuse to accept the existence of four-fifths of our nation. It really beggars belief.

In future, I suggest you ponder your own position before throwing electoral strategy tips about.

MessageAs a newly found party we need time to get our beliefs across to the people. Once they do, assuming you don't force us to accept taxpayer's money, we'll see a massive surge in support over parties who are becoming complacent.

MessageIf you don't accept taxpayers money, you will have no money because everybody pays tax. Evidently your views are not shared by the electorate, over fifty percent of whom endorsed the Labour Party in the Presidential election. We made it clear prior to the election that we would allow our allies to focus on the National Assembly and the PEP did a fantastic job, unseating the KRF as the plurality party.

MessageConsidering your party contended the presidential election against the CPK and the KRF it's not surprising your party won - it's not exactly great alternatives.

Actually, I voted Labour in every election excluding the last as a supporter of strong worker's rights.
