Bill: Defence Reform Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Potensian People's Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4149

Description[?]:

"Land mines cause devastating, life-changing injuries to soldiers and civilians and we believe that the decision to use these weapons should be exercised by the military, not politicians. Furthermore, the PPP believes that our current nuclear weapons policy is weak. Currently it requires our country to suffer a nuclear attack first, before it can use nuclear weapons itself. This is weak. We also take the view that we should cease selling arms overseas and take proactive steps towards slowing down the international arms race."

- S. R. Nathawat, PPP Defence Spokesperson
