Description[?]:
Potensian People's Party (PPP) Founded: January 4148 Presidential candidate: Meera J. Singh (President: January 4151 - July 4154) Parliamentary leader: Pratap Patel (since July 4154) Ideology: • Environmentalism • Liberal conservatism • Populism About: The Potensian People's Party (PPP) was founded in January 4148 in the city of Jamgal, Urvarta, by Jayant Varshney, Anupam Viswanathan and Reena N. Panwar. Both Jayant Varshney and Anupam Viswanathan were readers at the Jamgal School of Political Science, with the former working in the field of politics and the latter reading social policy. Reena N. Panwar had been a prominent environmental and animal rights campaigner before entering politics and brought herself to national prominence through the use of social media and online campaigns. Already close associates, the three decided to combine and translate their knowledge and campaigning skills into a political party. The primary aim of the party is to protect the country's environment, people and animals, while retaining a capitalist economy. Political analysts often describe the party as being centre-right on economic and social issues, yet at the same time is sympathetic towards efforts to address through a welfare safety net what it describes as "troubling injustices". The PPP is also notable for its "power to the people" campaign, including its desire for a "citizen-centric" political setup, as well as its amibition to establish a "completely vegan and meat-free society". |
