MessageThere is no good reason not to make sure that those applying for a passport do not have records of terrorism or criminality. Our current process is, if anything, too easy. Besides, it's expensive to issue passports to all citizens who may wish to have one. And not all citizens really need to travel internationally, so they will obtain theirs and just sit on them. Waste of resources!

MessageThis is an older bill that never got to the voting process. We of CLIP do not have a confirmation bias. If we made a mistake we will acknowledge this without shame. Thereforre, we will vote against this older bill we proposed after taking note of the arguments provided by our beloved colleagues of the PNT.
