Bill: Freedom in Death Act 4160

Details

Submitted by[?]: Royal People's Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 4160

Description[?]:

Members of the Body formerly known as the Royal Assembly,

The current law on organ donations essentially amounts to the government possessing control of one's corpse after death, unless one opts out. Seeing how in order to opt out, you must be able to read a government-issued Augustan form, this seems rather unfair to some of those who would like to do so, especially for those people living in the rural portion of every region not named Egato, who do typically not speak Augustan.

Essentially the government has taken control of the corpse of every person not able to speak Augustan. This is absurd, but predictable in the current environment.

MessageWhat's more, I will add, interfering with one's body after death can cause prevent their passage to the afterlife in the Arkhe religion. Assuming consent becomes a complicated issue in many cases and the government really should not be so presumptuous.

Messageif people do not want to donate their organs, they just need to report it to the Organ Donation Office. then their organs will not be used for donation. Just like the current policy states. this legislation is made because of the people who do not fill in their organ donation files, which creates a giant group of people we do not know if they consent or not. This legislation improves the survival chances of so many patients in Cobaira!

Random fact: Real-life quotations may be used in Particracy, but the real-life speaker or author should always be referenced in an OOC (out-of-character) note alongside the quotation.

Random quote: "If it were proved to me that in making war, my ideal had a chance of being realized, I would still say 'No' to war, for one does not create human society on mounds of corpses." - Louis Lecoin
