| Message | Proposed Initial Bid Speech; There are few nations where sport is such an important part of the national culture as it is in Dorvik. Sport unites us. In offices and factories, shop and homes, Monday morning conversation invariably revolves around the great sporting contests of the weekend. Whether it's the one-on-one drama of The Roller Badminton fortnight or the mass participation of the Fairfax Marathon, title races in national team games or the bravery of individuals in world title boxing bouts, all are analysed, argued over and admired. Dorvik was one of the first established Democratic Nations on Terra, Freedom is vital to us and International Recognition is too. Visiting teams and athletes have often found themselves cheered to the rafters by crowds who have never seen them before. Dorvik is a nation that is not only enthusiastic about sport and the olympics but a nation that strives to Host the Games and in our view there is no other nation better equipped than the first Republic. Our infrastructure is second to none and Sport is given a large amount of the Government's budget with the Government directly funding Sports Clubs for youngsters and adults alike. Our security forces are the best , most highly trained and proffesional in the World and are more than equipped to deal with an event of this Size. Not only that but we would invite security forces from the other Allied Nations to take part in the events, your athletes would be in Safe Hands. Most of all we want to create a Games that no-one will forget, one so spectacular that children will stand in awe and be inspired to follow their heroes into Sports. An everlasting spectacle that transcends national boundries, race or religion, one that every citizen of the world can feel a part of. We also plan to build a 120,000 seater Stadium in Fairfax to usher in a new era, more of which will be detailed in oiur finalised bid. DORVIK 2190; WHERE DREAMS ARE MADE |
