Status[?]: passed

Description[?]:
This bill seeks to enhance the freedoms and liberties of main, with freedom of speech without limitations. A society can never thrive if we do not let people to freely express themselves that will encourage ideas to flourish and grow into creative action. In building a modern state, we cannot continue to seek in dissenting voices of opinion even though we may disagree with those opinions. It's the difference in opinions, thesis, antithesis creating the synthesis that enables society to grow and progress. No one should be sentenced/imprisoned because of speech, an inalienable right. Additionally, the move to reduce the number of seats minimally by 50 is so that due to the inactivity of some parties, to prevent a stagnation or gridlock in the legislature it's best to reduce a number of seats in parliament. I hereby move that this bill has its first reading, clause by clause. I'm oblige Prime Minister of Malivia Dr. Roosevelt Ferdinand |

Message | I wonder why it would be fair to sue someone over falsehoods spoken about them, but not when falsehoods are printed about them. I believe if it has been proven beyond doubt that what is printed is a falsehood, then the victim should be able to file a case to sue. But only if it has been proven 100% that it is indeed untrue and that the author knew it was untrue when he wrote it. |

Message | Reason being honourable member in MPP , is that to sue what's i#printing can seemingly be an attack on the press. Yes the press/media has a responsibility, but it's also the job of the media to agitate. I hereby move a motion that this debate be read a second time |

Message | Seems as though there's no other input fro any other parties and I think much have been said on the issue and I've given what i think is a convincing argument as to why such a law is necessary. |

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn |
