Bill: Parental Qualifications Abolition Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Royal People's Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4166

Description[?]:

Members of the Senate,

The Government has concluded that the parental qualifications laws are unnecessary and moreover, they require and extraordinarily high level of government oversight, seeing as the government will eventually have to interview almost everyone in the country and determine if they are fit enough to have children. They have also been relatively ineffective and ignored, with our records showing that 20% of children born in the last month have been born to parents who have refused to register. That also adds to government spending for the social workers who need to watch these children, the vast majority of whom are raised by loving families who simply want the government out of their personal lives.

In addition to these issues, the regulations strike us as authoritarian and have the potential to be abused by supremacist governments of all types. As such, the regulations will hereby be abolished.
