MessageThis legislation makes it legal for individuals with mental illness or a violent criminal history to own firearms. This is a step in the wrong direction and will make the people unsafe. We absolutely oppose.

MessageTo our Comrades in the Democratic Party-

What you are suggesting here is that the Government should have the power to discriminate against certain classes or groups of individuals with regard to their rights. But this logic can then be used, as a precedent to deny others rights too with a simple majority.

I am a Rightist President- I seek to protect my fascist ways against the Left. if you are a Leftist, you have a mental disorder.

Surprise- you just lost your right to own a gun. The person who needs it most will be denied it by a government which is of bad will- Not all governments in Kalistan are of good will, which is a consequence of democracy. Will you sell out groups of people when the Government is correct, and then deny people the right to protect themselves when the government is not correct?

How can you justify the one but not the other?

We ask for your reconsideration on this bill when it goes to a vote. It is important that people have their rights and we need to be the ones to protect those rights.

Louise Bjorksdattir, Premier of the Republic.
