Bill: Progressive Income Tax Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Unity Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4169

Description[?]:

The aims of objectives of this bill is to encourage real economic growth as consumers will have the purchasing power to buy goods and services as their income are taxed at a very low level ,below 10%. My party believes that the lowering of corporation tax will in return result in more production of goods at a cheaper rate this consumers will buy more and their standard of living will improve. Moreover it can push corporations to increase employment as they will hire more person's because more profits will be accumulated.
Additionally the increase in both VAT tax (essential goods) and luxury goods is to provide more revenue for both the state and businesses.
All this is an initiative taken in my ministry, the ministry of finance that will see the country's GDP increase from current 582 bill, which increased from 572 and 400 billion, to our projected target of 600 billion.

I do hope that all political parties can support this bill as it is the key that will unlock our economic potential.

MessageThe MPP hate the idea of tax on essentials goods such as food and clothing. Noone can live without food, its not an option.
But as we have stated before, we have absolute confidence in your financial plan for Malivia and will continue to support your bills relating to finance.

MessageI understand. I guess because your party will see it as a means of preventing those who already cannot afford these essential goods will be placed further into poverty. That's why I lessen the taxes for those who receive income of less than 5K and those especially who are low income earners pay 3% tax. Also that's why I lessen corporate taxes so that the price for goods will decrease. Therefore it won't be surprising that reality, the taxes for essential goods will increase by a mere 2% given those factors. Additionally the government assist families who are poor through welfare. But I do understand your concerns.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.
