MessageWhen the lock of a letter is broken the harm has been done. Setting rules to make sure the justice departments do not abuse their power would only result in confusion.

MessageA situation where we could have prevented catastrophic loss of life would also result in confusion.

Let's prevent the former and have a measure to protect our people.

MessageIsn't it in the best interest of our people that we protect their privacy?
Who are we to willingly intrude in the gravest of ways and invade their personal life to satisfy a possibly corrupt or paranoid justicial organ?
Not that the MPU does not trust our brave justice-system. But giving that organ a power and a freedom in which nobody can be trusted is virtually unacceptable.

Message"Giving that organ a power and a freedom in which nobody can be trusted..."

We wish to remind the Meritocratic Progressive Union that they are a political party of the Assembly. Certainly they have a say in what goes on in the Justice Department and can voice their concerns if any ill action is committed.

However, to simply dismiss any value a pre-caution such as this provides would be ignorant to the evil beings that exist in our world.

Put together with the "Protectorate" plan to have open borders and we have a huge issue concerning law and order.

Trust is something that must be built with the people and their government, not something to be outright dismissed.

MessageOOC: I'm just laughing at Article I...how quickly we forget that it was President Reagan who fired the air traffic controllers.

I don't like this bill, therefore I will not be voting for it.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
