| It is my great honour to appoint Labour Party presidential candidate Brian Proctor. As Mayor of Port Tackstov for 4 years, a majority conservative city, he has shown that he has been capable of working with both sides of the aisle to pass common sense local legislation for his people and that he is able to be a populist who appeals to a wide range of political ideologies, from social conservatives to communists. As Member of National Congress, he has also shown these attributes and has gained respect among members from political parties with differing views. And during his Presidential campaign, although he didn't win, he showed that he was able to gain the support and trust of different demographics, age groups and political ideologies, not just party line supporters. We need someone that can unite the nation and establish cooperation with the conservative factions and that is why I proudly ask Parliament to vote for Mr Proctor. |
