Bill: Art 2 OOC(RP): THE CABINET AMENDMENT BILL

Details

Submitted by[?]: Unity Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4195

Description[?]:

This Bill seeks to amend Art 2 s(1) B of the Role Play constitution http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=511708 that stipulates: (B) The President may only be head of Cabinet where the game rules plainly state and allow he or her to be head of government.

Thus, this government is proposing that such clause is amended to state that the President is also head of Government if the same political party occupies both the offices of Head of State and Head of government.

Moreover, an exception to this rule will be where two different parties occupy Head of State Office and Head of Government Office, then the Head of Government will be the Prime Minister.
Therefore, for example, If Blackshirt Party occupies both the Office of the President and Office of the Prime Minister, then the Head of Government will be the President.

However, if the Unity Labour Party occupies the Office of the President but the Libertarian Party occupies the Office of the Prime Minister, then the Prime Minister/ Libertarian Party will be the Head of Government and seen as superior to the President which will be known as a period of Cohabitation.

Cohabitation - Is defined as a system of divided government where the Head of State and Head of Government comes from a different political party.
