MessageMr Speaker,

I would first like to congratulate Le Parti Libertaire on its taking of Government, just four years after its formation. We will strive towards a greater Lourenne, and part of that includes renewing and forging relationships with other nations. This bill therefore withdraws a treaty that is now no longer required as we are planning to introduce many more with other nations.

Head of Government

I will join in congratulating the PCL on its win in the recent election. Nevertheless, we feel this move is mistaken. Forging new alliances does not mean breaking old ones, and the treaty in question gives protection not only to Kazulia but also to the territorial integrity of all nations. Whether one is nationalist or internationalist, it makes no difference: nationalists should support the treaty for reinforcing our national sovereignty; internationalists for forging alliances and bonds between nations which encourage cooperation and multilateral, as opposed to unilateral, action.

Jacques Bertrand on behalf of the AP.

MessageM. Modérateur, Jacques Bertrand,

The PCL would like to point to its internationalist record regarding foreign relations and can ensure the AP that we strive for a greater bond with other nations. However, we feel that we need the ability to reestablish terms to suit this modern world. This treaty was formed back in 3846, and we feel it no longer holds prevalence in this modern age. We would be delighted if the AP worked alongside us to discuss the redrafting of this treaty with other nations to suit our modern day needs. Let us not think of this as breaking old alliances, but instead, refreshing them.

M. William Chauveau,
Premier Officier
