| Good Morning, It is a great Honour and Privilege to address this assembly as President of this great republic of ours.Our Nation Faces a wide range of challenges ranging from Economic Crisis to Divisions over the AU.Our nation also is currently at a situation of political instability which must be prevented. I request the members to forget differences and join hands for the sake of Dorvik.This is NOT the time to squabble over our differences.What matters is how best can we revive the economy,How can we reduce the unemployment rates and how can we help Dorvish Businesses Succeed. And another important issue obviously is the AU I have decided to call for a referendum on the AU on the 1st of May,4208.The Voters will face two Choices,Whether to Rejoin the AU or to remain out of it. My advisors are preparing the draft proposal calling for the referendum which will be submitted on my behalf in the Assembly. Some Parties have expressed their concerns and opposition regarding a Second Referendum.But i believe that it is the only way we solve this Confusion as the people's verdict will be the final and binding one and cannot be questioned. Therefore,The AU Referendum and Revival of the economy shall be my top priorities for the coming year. Thank you |

A referendum bill is something for the legislature to discuss and decide not something for the executive to throw out and decide for themselves.
