| Basic rules of the Federal Assembly will be posted in this thread: Article 1: Deputies of the Assembly speak through the President of the Federal Assembly. Every message is started with the sentence " Mister/Madam President. Article 2: The President of the Federal Assembly is elected after every election through a majority vote in Parliament. Any deputy may forward himself as a candidate, for which they have 3 months time after an election. At least 6 months of debating are necessary when there are several candidates. The President may be elected right away if there's just one candidate. Article 3: Deputies of the Assembly do not insult other Deputies or parties in the Assembly, nor do they speak to other deputies directly. Article 4: The President decides on whether deputies have violated Assembly protocols and decide on any possible punishments and warnings together with the Committee on Federal Assembly Ethics, a committee consisting out of at least 1 member for every party in the Federal Assembly. This committee has to pass a majority vote in order to punish/warn a deputy after a debate has ended determining whether a Deputy breached parliamentary code or not. |
