Bill: LSP Call for early elections, December 4209

Details

Submitted by[?]: Les Social-Progressives

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: August 4210

Description[?]:

Honoured members of the Assemblée Nationale,

We, Les Social-Progressives, call for early elections as soon as we can reach a consensus. We have canceled the first call, because we wanted to give the government extra time to solve some issues around the Dovanic Union. The government has been given 13 months to accomplish this. Therefore, we propose early elections and hope the government keeps its promise.

Second, we have empty seats and it is vital for a modern democracy like Lourenne to have every voter represented in parliament. The current situation does not allow this since the AR left the Assemblée Nationale and therefore does not represent AR voters anymore.

Yours sincerely,
Beatrice Vaugeois, Party Leader of Les Social-Progressives

MessageHonoured members of the Assemblée Nationale,

We think it is necessary for our fragile democracy to fill in these empty seats as soon as possible.
Also, we've done everything we could these year to make sure the DU had a head start. We're absolutely not done yet, but the end is near. This whole period was meant for the completion of the DU, but we do agree with the LSP that it is a duty of democracy to fill in these empty seats.

We thank all honoured members of the Assemblée Nationale,

Amauri D'Amboise
Deputy leader of the PDNL

Random quote: "The first step in freeing yourself from social restrictions is the realization that there is no such thing as a 'safe' code of conduct, one that would earn everyone's approval. Your actions can always be condemned by someone, for being too bold or too apathetic, for being too conformist or too nonconformist, for being too liberal or too conservative. So it's necessary to decide whose approval is important to you." - Harry Browne
