Bill: Budget proposal of October 4214

Details

Submitted by[?]: New Labour, New Mordusia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 4215

Description[?]:

New Labour, New Mordusia propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Federal Republic of Mordusia.

The global economic downturn we have seen has led to a fall in demand within our economy and to an erosion in consumer confidence. To safeguard our economic prosperity, the government proposes an initial 14 billion MRD stimulus package for infrastructure projects to create employment and stabilise wages.

I commend this budget to Congress.

Owen Stewart
Minister of Finance

MessageThe People's Democratic Party is hesitant to agree to any bill that does not increase Health and Social Services, Education and Culture, and Environment and Tourism spending. However, we are excited about a new infrastructure project, and will not seek to divide the left any further by voting no on this bill.
