MessageThe ILP makes a good point. In another bill, one about lowering the legal age of being an adult to 14, but someone stated that 14 year olds would "parrot" their parents.

What if this last year was all about political education to produce politically educated Indralans?

MessageWe believe that civics should be introduced gradually in the curriculum, just like any other subject. A concentrated year dedicated to politics makes no sense pedagogically. Stronger arguments will have to be advanced for us to support this reform.

MessageWe believe that the completion of schooling, and the assumption of citizenship should be at the same age. The age of 15 was traditional, but schooling was extended beyond this over a century ago, and the age of 16 is now largely accepted. We see no reason to change it further.
