Message | If this passes (which we hope it doesn't) we could ad compulsory Indralan and political studies to the curriculum at around age 16. |

Message | The ILP makes a good point. In another bill, one about lowering the legal age of being an adult to 14, but someone stated that 14 year olds would "parrot" their parents. What if this last year was all about political education to produce politically educated Indralans? |
Date | 13:59:56, February 16, 2006 CET | From | Radical Democratic Party | To | Debating the Compulsary Education Act |
Message | We believe that civics should be introduced gradually in the curriculum, just like any other subject. A concentrated year dedicated to politics makes no sense pedagogically. Stronger arguments will have to be advanced for us to support this reform. |

Message | We believe that the completion of schooling, and the assumption of citizenship should be at the same age. The age of 15 was traditional, but schooling was extended beyond this over a century ago, and the age of 16 is now largely accepted. We see no reason to change it further. |
