| ===== COMMAND STRUCTURE ===== The President of the Federation of Zardugal serves as the Commander in Chief of the Zardic Armed Forces and Chairs the Joint Defence Council. The Joint Defence Council is a hybrid civilian military command and control council which oversees the Zardic Armed Forces. Chaired by the President, it also consists of the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Defence, Chairman of the Combined Defence Staff, the four Service Chiefs of Staff, and the Director of the Zardic National Security Organization. The Zardic Armed Forces are ultimately headquartered at the Ministry of Defence at Beleco but are generally operationally run from the various service bases from across the country with several bases serving as "de-facto" headquarters of their respective service branches. ===== SERVICE BRANCHES ===== The Zardic Army (ZA) http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=522429 The Zardic Air Force (ZAF) The Zardic Navy (ZN) The Zardic Marine Corps (ZMC) **Within each branch of the Zardic Armed Forces there is a Chief of Staff, who reports directly to the President of the Federation of Zardugal. He/She is an automatic member of the Joint Defence Council (which is chaired by the President of the Federation of Zardugal, whom is also Commander-in-Chief of the Zardic Armed Forces). ***OOC: Overview Zardugal has long had one of the most powerful, advanced and experienced militaries in Terra, and especially in Majatra. The Zards try and maintain a balance between land, naval and air forces thus no one branch is generally considered more important than the other, however in times of favoritism the navy usually gets better funding. For RP purposes, Zardugal should be RP'd with a military based off a mix of the US and UK.
