| Hereby, we the SDA present a plan to restructure our armed forces and to get rid of some old equipment and aquire new. We want to restructure several divisions and make the size and role of the army clear once and for all. We understand this increase in men and equipment will cost some money and will therefore propose a budget shortly. But keep in mind this is mostly a restructuring. The only thing that will cost money will be the upgrading of our current weapon system's and the small expanding of the Dorvish Armed Forces. Lets get dorvik back on the military stage and protect our citizens! | Message | President, We think it was time for a massive restructure and upgrade of our army and weapon systems. If any party wants to add something to this proposal pls give us a notice. Special FOrces will be restructured and rebranded in another bill. We will split our bills into 4 sections: Ground Force, Navy, Air Force and Special Forces. | Message | Herr and Frau Deputies of the State Council, "I am here today by invitation of the Social Nationalist Party. Some of you might know me, other you might not. My name is Friedrich Augustus von Rohr-Mauss. I am currently a Colonel in the Dorvish Landwehr. I was asked today to stand in front of you and discuss the fact that the Social Democratic Workers Front had presented this bill today. I am not attacking Arthur von Wolfhausen or the SDAF instead I am here to respond to the issues with this recommendation. The restoration of the Dorvish Armed Forces at the foundation of the Republic of Dorvik was key to the continued success of the Dorvish people and the Dorvish nation as a whole. This proposal however, is incredibly dangerous. The proposal would undermine the current structure of the Dorvish Armed Forces and render us entirely defenseless and useless. This proposal is as dangerous as the fantasy that was presented to us by the Conservative Union during the Federal Republic of Dorvik. For those of you who do not know, the Dorvish Armed Forces are broken into three primary branches: the Dorvish Landwehr (ground component), the Dorvish Navy (naval component) and the Dorvish Air Force (air and air defense component). The Dorvish Armed Forces also has several other branches, most operate independent of the command structure that is the traditional branches. The Dorvish Jäger (Special forces), the Dorvish Feldjäger (military police) and finally the Military Security Service (military intelligence). This was the structure that was in use during the time of the Dorvish Republic and succeeded into the Federal Republic after some reform by the Social Nationalist Party and it's leadership, including my father who served as Inspector-General. Dorvik has consistently ranked among the top tier of nations in terms of military power, military diplomacy and military success. Unfortunately during a large portion of the Federal Republic, we fell. The Dorvish Armed Forces collapsed in on itself underneath years of mismanagement and neglect. Luckily, we were able to stave off total disaster and we survived. We survived but lost our ability to project ourselves overseas if necessary, we are at best, a regional power with the trappings of a world power due to our proud traditions. The reason I stand before you today is for several reasons: 1) The Dorvish Armed Forces, at it's height as a world power, ranked somewhere around 640,000 personnel active with another 480,000 in reserve. This overhaul would call for the addition of nearly 19 million men in the Dorvish Landwehr alone. That would rank far far above our historical highs, highs that have not been seen since the Collapse of the Reich period of our history. 2) The purchase and swapping of equipment that we already have when our defense budget is as low as it's ever been. The Dorvish Armed Forces opposes this, the Social Nationalist oppose this. Other parties should oppose this. Leave the soldiering to the soldiers and the politics to the politicians. Thank you." |

| Message | OOC: I appreciate the effort at this, it is very interesting, but I've always had a sort of problem with this sort of stuff. I think this is the problem with getting so detailed about what the soldiers carry. I mean, if we were to have a "war" wouldn't we just find whatever pictures of combat we could find? Why do we need to know exactly how many grenades a soldier carries? Wouldn't this be their personal choice? Also, wouldn't it be more cost effective to have ALL soldiers carry the same basic firearms (i.e. why regulars BMCR and grenadiers ACRs?) and not have different branches carrying different equipment? What about armor carriers (they are like really big flatbed trucks for tanks)? Or mechanical vehicles? The questions are endless. |

| Message | Ooc: i had the same concern myself about the infantry firearms. As stated in this proposal the infantry can equip other kinds of weapons if the BMCR is out of stock or not available. I hope to fix the picture problem because of this. As for he grenadieren, they are a more specialised unit then the standard Landwehr and therefore have other equipment. The transport vehicles are based on the german infantry carrier and as stated below the proposal for the infantry carrier other trucks are also used by the armed forces but are not listed here. The grenades a soldier carries is indeed a personal choice but this is the standard issued amount that a soldier MUST carry at all times (unless they get used up by the soldier himself) I hope i have answered all your questions. |

| Message | President, We understand the concern of both the military and the SNP but theyre biggest critisiscm is rather unbased. 19 million men? In this proposal we have clearly stated that the infantry would have 54 normal infantry divisions and another 24 Panzergrenadieren regiment's and 12 Logistische regimenten that comes to a total of 612.000 soldiers for the infantry (Look at the statistics above the proposal that shows how many men every type has) So the groundforce has a total of 612.000 men + the additional equipment (tanks,artillery other vehicles) which is more near the height of our military then near the absurt presumption that this proposal includes 19 million men. The second thing where it seems the SNP and the commander have not payed attention is the fact that at the beginning of the proposal we have included a line that says " We understand this increase in men and equipment will cost some money and we will therefore propose a budget shortly (in a short while)" As you can see we have thought of this and will propose a budget increase in the next months to fascilitate this military restructuring and increase. | Message | President, We reiterate some of the comments made by Friedrich von Rohr-Mauss, we cannot see the need for an overhaul of the armed forces at this time. The structure in place has worked well for many many decades, and having spoken to our party leader whose family has first hand experience of the attempted reforms by the Konservative Union. We agree that the defence budget does need a significant overhaul and we are currently working on a new budget proposal within the ministry that should hopefully be present within the next couple of months. For now we will disagree with these reforms. On a further note we have appointed a member of the SNP to the position of Inspector-General of the Dorvish Armed Forces, we felt the need for this as the SNP have a vast set of expertise regarding the armed forces. | Message | President, The SDA regrets the standstill of inovation party's in this assembly are proposing. As mister Jaeger said this system has worked well for many decade's. DECADE's. It is time for inovation. and if our army wants to be one of the strongest in Artania and even the world we should innovate and consider this proposal. As stated at the end of the proposal we are open to ANY suggestions to make this overhaul as solid as possible and to skyrocket the dorvish armed forces into the next decade's.
