Bill: Malpractice Laws

Details

Submitted by[?]: Moderate Beluzians

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2189

Description[?]:

Daniel Cochran, Minisiter of Justice proclaims:

We must protect our medical professionals as well as their patients. A cap on awards in malpractice lawsuits ensures protection of doctors, low medical rates, and lower insurance rates. The cap would vary from case to case, depending upon it's severity.

Furthermore, only those with medical knowledge should conduct malpractice trials. Civil lawyers no nothing about proper medical procedure. This ensure a fair and knowledgable trial for all concerned.

MessageHow are you sure that a medical regulatory body would prosecute every claim that is made against a doctor?

MessageYou misunderstand the bill. The medical regulatory body would try every case and prosecute those claims found correct: meaning that the medical professional actually acted wrongly. This proposal insures that people with medical knowledge try malpractice suits.
