Bill: Reduction of Intelligence Activites.

Details

Submitted by[?]: Moderate Beluzians

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2191

Description[?]:

The conservative parties claim that an intelligence agency without limitation acts in our best interests. However, history proves this false. Time and time again, interferance in other government's politics only causes problems in the future. It leads to invalid information gained through torture, funding coalitions and carels that then turn on the helping countries and so forth. Also, increased intelligence activities with covert operations undertaken without respect of other nation's laws only make our neighbors angry and incite them to war.

MessageIn the event of an international crisis, this act gives us the ability to take indirect action aginst other nations, without using our military forces.

In my mind, any time you can solve a problem WITHOUT the use of military force, you have won

Taken that option out of our playbook would be silly.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically
