Bill: Say no to biological and chemical weapons!
Details

Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4289
Description[?]:
Lots of weapons cause "gruesome injury...and indiscriminate pain, suffering and death," but there is something especially bad about chemical (and biological) weapons. Much of the current concern flows from the use of such weapons in modern wars, when the use of poison gas (mustard gas, especially) disfigured and maimed but did not kill huge populations of soldiers and civilians. Poison gas is excruciatingly painful, and the injuries from it often kill you over a very long period of time (if they kill you at all). Also, as weapons go, they are incredibly indiscriminate and uncontrollable. So, a person using these weapons shows a pretty incredible amount of carelessness with respect to non-combatants and unnecessary suffering. |
