Bill: Adoption Policy
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Libertarian Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 4299
Description[?]:
Children up for adoption should be guaranteed a stable lifestyle and homebase. Allowing singles to adopt children does not enforce such stable lifestyle. We understand that there are many singles that wish to have children without necessarily having a partner, but we cannot compromise our childrens' futures to satisfy those wishes. All kids should have access to dignified education, home and clothing and unfortunately some of these singles seking to adopt do not meet the necessary income or housing requirements to meet such needs. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning who can proceed with adoption; in case adoption is legal.
Old value:: Everyone may adopt children.
Current: Everyone may adopt children.
Proposed: Only couples may adopt children.

Message | Couples of all kind will provide a stable lifestyle by giving children two role models to follow and by providing a sufficient income to support the adoptees life. Also, adopted children should be given to coupls that wish to protect the child and ensure he or she will have a dignified life. Jacqueline Rosenfeld Democratic Party House Leader |

Date | 20:26:13, November 06, 2017 CET | From | Democratic Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Adoption Policy |
Message | We are not saying singles can't, but we believe that children whose parents have died or abandoned them have serious traumas that most of the time only couples can work out. Jacqueline Rosenfeld Democratic Party House Leader |
Date | 04:39:59, November 07, 2017 CET | From | Democratic Technocracy Directive | To | Debating the Adoption Policy |
Message | Whilst being a couple is easier when taking care of a child it should not be a requirement, to each an adult a child may go, happy homes for all in both singles and couples. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
