| Message | The "right" to life exists as a guarantee of freedom of choice and action in a social context. So to be elligible for this right, someone needs the ability to choose. The ability to choose needs the ability of conceptual and comparative thought. While we have heard no concrete proof of life either way, the most evidence points to this ability as residing in the cerebral cortex of our minds. Therefore it is logical that once the cerebral cortex is fully formed, it is technically muder to abort after that. Since this usually occurs around the 24th week of pregnancy, the LOOs will agree that abortion should only be legal to those that destroy potentail life and not actual life, i.e. no abortion after the second trimester. |
