Message | Students shouldn't be subject to their teacher's religious views. |
Date | 22:26:21, February 27, 2006 CET | From | Social Reform Party | To | Debating the Freedom for Schools Bill |
Message | All this will do is destroy our public school system, which is secular for a reason. It is not the job of the state to teach children religion, and if their parents want that, then they can send their children to a religious school. |
Date | 01:17:44, February 28, 2006 CET | From | Aloria Green Socialist Party | To | Debating the Freedom for Schools Bill |
Message | Maybe parents don't want to send their kids to a religious school, even if they are religious themselves. The kids don't have to pray. Maybe there can be consent/opt out forms. This gives more choice. |
