| I must bring to your attention a very serious matter. It involves an ongoing debate in the Sekowan parliament in regards to head of state succession. http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=546370 As we are all aware, the Empress Beatrice rules both Hulstria and Sekowa in personal union. However, some republican elements in the neighbouring state are looking to change this. (The personal union treaty: http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=3873) We believe such thoughts must be stopped in their tracks and so wish to ask all party members for their thoughts on this matter and what message we should send to the Sekowan government. Given the trouble at home, we risk overstretch if we were to intervene all too forcefully in Sekowo. | Message | I thank all Party Members for their advice, For now I have sent a cordial message to members of the Grand Senate in Sekowo explaining that is our wish that the status quo is maintained and that Her Imperial Majesty continues to reign over both nations, represented in Sekowo by the Grand Princess. I have explained that Hulstria is in no doubt that this is the best way forward for both our countries and will help to ensure peace and prosperity.
