| RECOGNIZING Ambassador Zhou Jiahao's resignation as Ambassador (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=546861), and; RECOGNIZING that despite our National Conference voting in favour of an all-party committee to select a replacement for Ambassador Zhou the progression of world affairs demands a more rapid response, BE IT RESOLVED that "A Motion to Retain Ambassador Zhou Jiahao" (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=543441) is considered repealed and void, and; BE IT RESOLVED that Dr. Han Shaofu is appointed to the position of Ambassador to the World Congress for a term which will expire on 11 July 4325, unless a resolution is passed making this one void and appointing a new candidate to the position, and; BE IT RESOLVED that six (6) months prior to the termination of Dr. Han's appointment, an all-party committee be established to select his replacement. -- Kwan Zhiyong Leader Lotus Party OOC: This bill will appoint the Phoenix Party player (forum name: Zongxian) as the rightful representative of Indrala to the World Congress forum page. |

| Message | Mr. Speaker, Representatives, I have no specific successor in mind. I was hoping that an all-party committee would be able to find the best replacement, but agree that that process may take too long, considering the state of world affairs. It may also be beneficial that the next Ambassador comes directly from the government so that the office can liaise with the government in the most efficient way. If I may, I would recommend that the next appointment is contractual; that is, within a set time-frame, so that an all-party committee can select a non-partisan candidate. For now, I endorse Leader Kwan's motion. Friends, I am now 83-years-old. I do not have the fortitude to continue this work.
