Message | Fully agreeing with Ms. Jones statement, women are entitled the same working rights as men. Also, men are entitled the same working rights as women. "Positive" discrimination violates the rights of everyone it discriminates, since it is discrimination after all. Our proposal for tackling equality in the workplace is not a patch like this, but a strike to the root of the cause of gender discrimination in the workplace: employers are afraid to hire women for the possibility that they might get pregnant and leave. Therefore, our proposal is paid maternity and paternity leave for everyone: since they will be equal in time, employers won't have a reason to prefer male workers to female ones in this aspect.
