Description[?]:
It was around 800 BCE when Selucius Maximus convinced the elders to build a town. This town they built, was Auroria. Auroria was built up and functioned as a trading market, Auroria's place near the sea and its port also helped it to become a keystone for trade. Around 334 BCE, the natives came together under the Selucian League and began calling themselves Selucian, and continued to do so up to the present day. After the foundation of Auroria, the Selucian people worked hard to improve their architectural skills and started to build up villages and small towns across the islands and connected them with roads. These skills and the improvement of infrastructure boosted Selucian society allowing it to flourish. Faster traveling and trading, better communities and laws and administrations helped them push their boundaries. Auroria was the foundation of Selucian civilization and served as a role-model for all towns and cities throughout Selucian history. Since, Auroria has developed into the largest modern city in Selucia, it holds the seat of the Selucian senate, has a bustling harbor, shows off cultural masterpieces such as the Colosseum Imperiale, and is the home of the Aurorian Patriarchal Church. Auroria is the most prominent and prosperous Selucian city, yet, it isn't the capital. The acting capital city is Florentia, in Cor Patriae. This makes absolutely no sense to Pars Militum Petulantia, and therefore we're calling for Auroria to be restored as the capital city of Selucia and once again shine Selucian might across the Majatran Sea. Auroria was the first Selucian town, the foundation of civilized Selucian history, the seat of the Selucian senate and the largest city throughout the whole of Selucia. Therefore, Pars Militum Petulantia are confused as to why Florentia is considered to be the capital of our great nation. Pars Militum Petulantia calls for the capital city to be moved back to Auroria. The Pars Militum Petulantia calls for the Selucian senate to pass the proposal, and to host a tournament in the Colosseum Imperiale to celebrate this restoration of Selucian history and culture. All Majatran nations should be invited, with each nation putting forward one fighter, and enjoy the bravery of each fighter as they fight not only for their share of the huge prize pool, but also for the pride of their nations. The opportunity should be used to better Selucia's international relations, while celebrating not only the return of Auroria as Selucia's capital but also while celebrating the end of the oppressive rule of the Fascist Regime. OOC: Would be a great roleplay opportunity and it's Selucian culture, so I don't see why it would be an issue. Let me know what you think of it in debate and we can choose to include or exclude it. |
