Bill: Banning of Prostitution
Details
Submitted by[?]: Luthori People's Party (LPP)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4332
Description[?]:
According to the Luthori People's Party the degrading of women must come to an end. That is why the party wants to make prostitution illegal. A very big amount of women who work as a prostitute are being forced to do this work and are victims of trade and are being abused. Even if this were only a small percentage of the prostitutes, should we not help that small percentage? We hope The Holy Luthori Empire can be an example for all other countries in the world and says no more degrading of women, no more prostitution! |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Criminalising prostitution would only endanger those forced into such a life by forcing them to work away from the eyes of the authorities and deterring them from coming forward to report abuse and crime. Human trafficking is a major violation of human rights and a serious problem around the globe, and it is our duty to fight against it, but this is not the way to put an end to it.
