Bill: Pre-School-Education Improvement
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social-Libertarian Alorian Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2196
Description[?]:
The Social Libertarian Party is shocked to see that pre-school education is met with a "Don't care" attitude of delegating the issue. Think of the children. Children in poor families need some place to be if parents work. Therefore delegating this issue means playing with the future of the children! |

Date | 19:32:49, March 05, 2006 CET | From | Social-Libertarian Alorian Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | Centralization is required. I shudder to think of people who can not afford pre-school-education and have the misfortune to live in the wrong place. You are imposing unequality on the undeserving population! |
Date | 20:04:13, March 05, 2006 CET | From | Democratic Liberal Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | I support this. |
Date | 20:47:15, March 05, 2006 CET | From | Independent Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | Centralization is hardly required. We are (and have been for a while) a confederacy. |
Date | 21:05:57, March 05, 2006 CET | From | Social-Libertarian Alorian Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | What is te purpose in having a state if it is unable to do a thing? Abolish Aloria totally then! |
Date | 13:46:41, March 06, 2006 CET | From | Independent Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | Aloria's a confederacy, it has a small national gov't that works. You haven't seen some of the ICP's previous bills, when we tried to rename Aloria the "Confederated Countries of Aloria" Besides, the ICP wouldn't support article three even if we weren't one of the Confederate parties. We don't agree with communistic government support. |

Message | "Besides, the ICP wouldn't support article three even if we weren't one of the Confederate parties. We don't agree with communistic government support." There is just one article... |
Date | 14:24:06, March 06, 2006 CET | From | Independent Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | "Pre-school education is private, but the government covers the schoolcosts of poor families." First costs for poor families in preschool, then poor families get everything for free, neglecting the middle class. Then everyone else gets everything else for free, at the price of the richest taxpayer. This clause is an attempt to establish communism in Aloria. |
Date | 14:31:29, March 06, 2006 CET | From | Social-Libertarian Alorian Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | No, it is not! There is a large difference between communism and support for the poorest. this slippery slope argument doesn't work, since not everything is free for the poor, but a basic support is offered. |
Date | 14:36:04, March 06, 2006 CET | From | Independent Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | Support to the poorest is the step to communism. Most people are poor for a reason. It's either their fault or the government's fault. If it's the government's fault the government should change their policies and not just treat the symptoms. If it's the poor people themselves fault, they don't deserve aid (it's a waste of taxpayer money then). |
Date | 14:48:17, March 06, 2006 CET | From | Social-Libertarian Alorian Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | "Most people are poor for a reason." But do their CHILDREN need to suffer from that? How do you think you can stop inheriting poverty if not by educating the children? |
Date | 14:49:39, March 06, 2006 CET | From | Independent Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | All free education like this is teaching them is to be dependent on the government their whole life... |
Date | 15:01:44, March 06, 2006 CET | From | Social-Libertarian Alorian Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | Where are the statistics for that? there are none because OOCly studies showed the opposite. People who where given good education as child were less likely to rely on welfare, no matter what social class they were from. But you really need to tell me how one can argue here if every reference to RL isn't allowed. |

Message | I understand how education MIGHT be subsidized for the poor, although I disagree with wasting gov't funds (private donations, anyone?)... However, I wonder why PRE-SCHOOL counts that much. And, like I said about federalism, if the major nat'l parties are for it, it'll probably already be there on a local level so centralization is redundant. |
Date | 15:12:31, March 06, 2006 CET | From | Social-Libertarian Alorian Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | Pre-school does lots for creating the basic mindset of the people later in life. Already at this age social skills are formed and important things like creativity trained. |
Date | 15:15:13, March 06, 2006 CET | From | Independent Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Pre-School-Education Improvement |
Message | Their parents can do it themselves. To kids with good parents, preschool is often a waste of time. But whatever. I see that neither one of us is convincing anyone so let's just agree to disagree... |

Message | "To kids with good parents, preschool is often a waste of time." Unfortunately poor people are often bad parents because they simply lack the time because they have to work.. Considered that? |
