Bill: Media Freedom Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kalistani Workers Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4365
Description[?]:
Recognizing that under current law the news media is only allowed to publish stories and pictures about public figure's personal lives with their explicit consent, and seeing as there are many times where a public figure wouldn't allow information to get out about a personal story but when that information would be a boon for the public (like in a case where a public figure beat his spouse), this bill would allow the news media to publish stories or pictures about the personal lives of public figures if it is deemed to be in the public good. |

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed). |
Random quote: "If democracy is ever to be threatened, it will not be by revolutionary groups burning government offices and occupying the broadcasting and newspaper offices of the world. It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn |
