Message | Mr Speaker, I can respect the authority of local governments and the ability of provinces to consequently carry out most laws in a fair manner. However, gambling is an addictive and profitable national industry which has grown nation-wide, causing regulation to become complicated and hard to enforce. By revoking regulation and bringing to a national level, we can ensure that companies are not restricted by varying regional laws but at the same time, are far more easily taxed by the civil service and regulated nationally for the wellbeing of citizens. I invite any other MPs to cast their opinion for amendment before we take this to a vote. Leo Smith, HNLP Candidate for internal affairs |
